I don’t have much time today. I’ll be heading to an amusement park later. I’ve heard that the rides are crazy. Most missionaries who go end up throwing up. Needless to say, I’m excited to prove them all wrong by not getting sick. I’ll let you know how that goes.
Update from Qishan! So I’ve now been out of Qishan for about a month now, but if you remember, there was a woman we were teaching named Sister Chen, the woman who was already Christian and who had 2 kids. SHE GOT BAPTIZED! Super exciting. So there’s that.
Back to JiaYi.
We’ve been working with some less active members this last week and two of them came to church! One of them was the guy who lives in a Taoist temple. We dropped by the other day and asked if he could come to church. He told us he could walk there. We stopped by again yesterday before church, but he wasn’t home. We had wanted to walk with him to make sure he came. But later when we were at the chapel, we saw him just coming up the road. He came! We didn’t even remind him. Super cool.
The other guy that showed up hasn’t been to church in a very long time. He says hes a member who used to live in MinXiong, but we can’t find his record. He may or may not be a member. He came though and one of the older guys in our ward totally befriended him. They sat together during all of Sunday School and then during priesthood.
On Saturday we visited an investigator from before I got to JiaYi that I’ve never met with. She hadn’t been answering her calls. She was super excited to see us. Turns out she gave her phone to someone else and got a new number. We will be meeting with her on Tuesday.
We were supposed to have interviews on Wednesday but then we found out President Teh had to go to Taipei so my district’s interviews were cancelled. We don’t know when we’ll be having those.
Anyways, I love you all!
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL THE MOTHERS OUT THERE!
GIVE YOUR MOM A HUG! And a kiss if you’re cool with that. She’ll appreciate it.
Love you all!
